Mixing Amazing Grays

An assignment from a Dennis Pendleton Salon that I am participating in was to paint something utilizing grays, mixed with watercolors like ultramarine blue and raw umber. I did two of them. Both have some colors other than the mixed grays, but the grays were mixed using ultramarine blue, raw umber, yellow ocher, cerulean blue and cadmium red, and some sap green in one gray. I put down a lot of layers for the dark mountains in the sunrise painting. It would not fit in my scanner so I scanned only part (most) of it. The painting is 14" X 11" and the scanner only accepts 13" X 9". I want to do some more work on it (more layers of the dark gray) before I call it complete.

The cloudy peaks painting is 5" X 7".
