Three of us did another day-hike/art day in the Lost Creek Wilderness. We hiked up a relatively nice trail that is not shown on any map. We hiked up the trail almost to timberline in the Kenosha Mountains. The trail kept going up, but we stopped at 11,300' and created some art.
I selected some small leaves on the forest floor. I see them a lot and I wanted to paint the red leaves. Later, I looked them up and the only thing I could find close were wild strawberries, but I have never seen the strawberries. So I don't really know what they are. The yellow stonecrop are also plentiful up there.
