Studying

Some call it "study", I call it practice. Either way, sometimes it pays off.

I did a quick pencil drawing of an uprooted tree. I used the pencil drawing as a model to add an uprooted tree to an oil painting that I'm working on.

I think the painting (and drawing) captured the uprooted tree pretty well and it adds to the intended feeling that this healthy forest has a lot of old trees on the ground. And rocks.
