Washing en Plein Air


To get exercise and to do some en plein air painting, three of us (four with the dog) hiked up a road near Silver Plume and then up Thompson Gulch. It was a rough hike up the gulch that was good exercise, but it did not offer us many good subjects to paint. But I picked this aspen tree and did a quick painting, using washes mainly - much closer to the recommendation I had read. This one took a couple hours total.
